Before You Start: What You Need
Setting up a Rust script is straightforward, but there are a few prerequisites before you install:
- A licensed copy of Rust on Steam
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- An active Demonity subscription (see our store)
- Your in-game sensitivity and FOV settings ready
Step 1: Purchase Your Rust Script License
Head to the Demonity store and select the Rust Script plan that fits your needs. After payment is confirmed, your license key is instantly available in your account dashboard under "My Orders".
Step 2: Download the Loader
From your dashboard, download the Demonity loader executable. This is a small launcher program that authenticates your license key and loads the Rust script securely into memory. Save it in an easy-to-find location, but not inside the Rust game folder.
Step 3: Configure Your Settings
Launch the loader and enter your license key when prompted. Once authenticated, configure the following settings to match your in-game setup:
- Sensitivity — Enter your exact in-game mouse sensitivity (0.01–1.00)
- FOV — Set your field of view to match Rust's setting (0–90)
- ADS Sensitivity — Separate multiplier for aimed-down-sights firing
- Weapon Selection — Choose your primary weapon and any attachments (barrel / scope)
Getting these values exactly right is critical. If your sensitivity is even slightly off, the recoil compensation will be inaccurate. We recommend opening Rust, noting your exact sensitivity from the settings menu, then entering it into the script.
Step 4: Launch Rust and Test
Start Rust after the loader is running. Join a softcore or aim-training server and test your weapon at a wall from 30–50 meters. You should see a near-straight bullet pattern. If the spray drifts left or right, double-check that your sensitivity values are correct.
Step 5: Save Your Config
Once everything is dialed in, save your settings as a named config inside the Demonity loader. You can create multiple configs — one for each playstyle or sensitivity preset. You never have to configure from scratch again.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
- Script not activating — Make sure the loader is running before launching Rust
- Spray going wrong direction — Re-check your sensitivity values; even 0.01 difference matters
- License key rejected — Contact support on Discord; your key may need resetting
- Game crashing on launch — Temporarily disable other overlays (Discord, GeForce Experience) and retry
